Jacks Moore is a rom-com obsessed hockey player who has never been in love before. The only girl who has ever caught his eye has a boyfriend, and he’s not one to ruin a relationship. Claire Canes is a shy girl who loves photography and Hallmark movies. She’s generally an agreeable person until her boyfriend breaks up with her on their three-year anniversary. Wanting to make him feel how she did, she creates a plan with two of her friends—which involves fake dating a hockey player that she’s only spoken to a handful of times.

As the two movie lovers unite and boundaries are crossed, they realize that this fake relationship is turning into something real, and neither of them knows what to do about it.
